This page is to discuss nominations for adminship. Anyone who would like to be given the extra facility that goes with being a sysop or bureaucrat may nominate themselves or another contributor. See the "ideal" procedural details on Wikipedia:Requests for adminship.

(User:CanadianNine)Edit

Not a very active wiki, and I'd like to have sysop powers incase it becomes neccessary to use them. Also, perhaps beaurocrat because I'm planning to be involved here and it doesn't look like there is much traffic from the current crat/sysop.

Seems you're not ready yet. 1. You should study and better apply Help:Wikia copyrights and the pages that link to it

What do you mean by this? CanadianNine 00:32, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

2. You have done nothing about Irland rugby

Should that page not just be deleted because we already have this, and Irland rugby is entirely nonsense? -CanadianNine 11:31, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes. Anyone who's not a sysop and notices something like that can blank it (specially if it's rude) and add {{delete}} at the top so that it should show up in the "maintenance" category. Desirable also to caution the perpetrator, possibly using {{Test}}. (If we don't have one of those templates, see if you can copy from Central or the Templates Wikia)

And I hope you will get much better at leaving links for people to follow, for example:

  1. Your user page mentions another wiki that you work on but gives no link to it.
  2. When I asked where your Wikipedia page was, I got an IP telling me it was under the same name but giving no link.
  3. Today's request to me on another wiki gave no link to this page.
I was trying to work on that here, but does that create too many redlinks? CanadianNine 00:32, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Create some original content on a few more pages and I may be willing to support your nomination. — Robin Patterson (Talk) 04:44, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm with Robin on this, try to help out a bit more, this wiki was very much dead when i started it and i have given sysops to people on other wikis but they disappear soon after getting it. I hope you understand, it will nice to know that you are here to stay and try to help out as much as possible and then Robin or I will promote you to adminship..thanks...--Cometstyles 04:27, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
