William Ryder born 6 June 1982. He is 1.74m tall and weighs 77kg is a Fijian rugby union footballer. Ryder is well known within the rugby sevens community, as he has produced some of the best performances for the Fiji national sevens side. He is well known for his try scoring capability and has been one of the top try scorers of the World Sevens Series. He has scored 752 points to-date of which he has scored 82 tries (310 points). He is best known for his cheeky goose step.
William Ryder is a very talented football player and had career aspirations in this sport too. However, it was when playing football that he was spotted by Fijian legend Waisale Serevi who; impressed by his speed and agility, then introduced him to the game of sevens.
He was a part of the team that won the bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia for the Rugby Sevens event.
